Spare Parts Management is one of the crown jewels of the Life Cycle Care program run by the Service Division of Tecnova HT.

Spare Parts ManagementFor every customer, identifying the correct replacement part, managing procurement lead times, and the often-unpredictable cost of spare parts are all familiar stations along the usual via crucis of routine and extraordinary maintenance.

With a view to Continuous Improvement, the Service Division of Tecnova HT—together with the parent company—has analyzed standard work methodologies and established procedures to ensure a seamless and uncertainty free spare parts management process.

Firstly, thanks to the robust documentation that accompanies every system integration or individual field instrument, any spare parts are clearly identified, coded, and appropriately listed for future reordering.

Secondly, for each supply, sets of spare parts are already identified to support Startup operations or to safeguard against potential failures of critical components within the first 24 months of operation—our “2Years Spare Parts Management” strategy.

Thanks to the vast experience of Tecnova HT’s Service Division personnel, the number of integrated systems and analyzers installed, and the hundreds of field service days logged annually, the consumption—or rather the usage schedule—of standard spare parts is estimated and defined for each installation. After every maintenance operation involving customer owned spare parts, the used items are deducted from inventory and future shortages are tracked and scheduled for replenishment.

For customers who benefit from Tecnova HT Service Division’s knowhow by signing long term maintenance contracts, dedicated sets of spare parts are allocated contract by contract. This means our technicians arrive onsite with a full kit of filters, Orings, peristaltic pumps, etc., ready to immediately restore the analyzer or the complete SME (System Measuring Equipment), or to perform classic preventive maintenance by replacing parts just before they degrade. Once the effectiveness of the intervention is confirmed, only the used parts are invoiced—ensuring maximum economic efficiency and guaranteed instrument or system uptime beyond any expectation.

This is made possible by our well stocked warehouse, which is continuously replenished by our RP (Responsible Person), who carefully tracks consumed parts, supplier lead times, and the number of active service contracts.

The Repair Service provided by the Tecnova HT Service Division is an integral part of our Life Cycle Care mission.
Repairs are carried out either directly onsite or inhouse by our highly skilled technicians. A rapid and accurate diagnosis is the first step in identifying faults or incorrect settings and is essential for issuing a complete and clear report—including labour time, spare parts used, and any additional services such as recalibrations.

The Repair Process consists of three phases:

  • diagnostics
  • quotation to the customer
  • repair execution

It is a Process Objective under the Quality System of Tecnova HT’s Service Division: this means no long waits, no disproportionate costs, and no “jewelry store” pricing for spare parts… With us, you’re back up and running immediately!

Specifically, when it comes to Emissions Analysis Systems, downtime is not an option.
Given the need to guarantee uninterrupted analytical data, the Service Division of Tecnova HT implements a Mule System strategy for all installed analyzers and even offers fully functional replacement CEMS systems in cases of partial or complete failure.

Furthermore, thanks to partnerships with premium technical gas suppliers, Tecnova HT’s Service Division is able to fully manage the Client’s Cylinder Fleet for onsite system validation.
